The short version
Nerva does not collect personal information. There is no account system to sign up for, no email address required, and no payment information stored. Your breathing-session history stays on your iPhone.
What we don't do
- We don't sell data — there is nothing to sell.
- We don't run ads — never have, never will.
- We don't share data with third parties.
- We don't use tracking SDKs (no Facebook SDK, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment).
- We don't request your IDFA (Apple's advertising identifier) and never show the "Allow Tracking" prompt.
What stays on your device
- Sessions you complete (technique, duration, completion flag)
- Your onboarding answers (intent, rhythm, experience, safety conditions)
- Your settings (audio, haptics, voice preference)
- Your favorites
All persistence uses Apple's SwiftData, stored on your device. Nerva does not send any of this off your phone.
Diagnostic data (Apple-provided)
If you opt in to Apple's Share with App Developers, Apple delivers anonymized crash and performance reports to us via MetricKit. These contain no personal information. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Future versions
If a future version of Nerva offers optional iCloud sync, your data will be end-to-end encrypted on Apple's servers and unreadable by us. We will update this policy and notify you in-app before any such feature ships.
