Terms of use
DRAFT · LAST UPDATED 2026-05-22
The short version
Use Nerva to breathe. Don't use Nerva as a substitute for medical care. We promise to keep the app honest, quiet, and free from ads.
Not medical advice
Nerva is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Nothing in the app — including the science citations and technique descriptions — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a medical condition, consult a qualified clinician before practicing breathwork.
Some breathing techniques (Bhastrika, Kapalabhati, 4-7-8) are not recommended during pregnancy, with seizure history, heart conditions, or respiratory illness. Nerva's onboarding asks about these and hides contraindicated techniques. You are responsible for answering truthfully and following your clinician's guidance.
Account & data
Nerva does not require an account. All practice data is stored on your iPhone. See the privacy policy for details on what we collect (effectively nothing).
Payments
During the launch window (the first six months after public release), Nerva is free with no subscription or in-app purchase. After the launch window, Nerva will add an optional subscription unlocking the full library. Anyone who installed Nerva during the launch window — "founding members" — will retain full feature access for free, permanently.
Acceptable use
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source.
- Don't claim the app as your own work.
- Don't redistribute the app outside the App Store.
You may use Nerva for your own personal practice and recommend it freely.
Disclaimer of warranties
Nerva is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it stable and accurate, but we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use at your own risk; we cannot be liable for indirect damages.
